Your personal information
Personal information held by OzWide may include your name, date of birth, current
and previous addresses, telephone/mobile phone number, email address, bank account
or credit card details, occupation, driver's licence number and your OzWide
PIN, username or password. We also hold details of your OzWide services (including
their status), as well as certain details about your personal interests. On
Connection to OzWide we may also capture your CLI - call line identification
for the purpose of billing disputes.
If you choose not to provide us with certain personal information
(e.g. your date of birth), we may not be able to provide you with the services
you require, or the level of service on which we pride ourselves.
Occasionally, you may need to provide personal information
about other individuals to OzWide (e.g. about your authorised representatives).
If so, we rely on you to inform those individuals that you are providing their
personal information to OzWide and advise them that we can be contacted for
further information (see 'How to contact us' below).
What is personal information?
Personal information is information which identifies individuals. It can be
a range of information including contact details, credit history or records
that reveal the internet usage of particular individuals.
Why do we collect it?
We collect our customers contact details so that we can communicate with our
customers, deliver the products and services they request and develop new products
and services. We may also analyse information for statistical purposes without
any individuals being identified.

selected by us When ozwide has customer loyalty programmes and special promotions
with agents and third parties, customers contact details may be provided to
agents and third parties. When you apply for certain account types with ozwide
where hardware is supplied you are credit checked and your credit history will
be assessed by the credit agency. In the event of a debt being owed your details
may be referred to a debt collection agency. These situations where your personal
information may be supplied to agents and third parties are also outlined in
the ozwide terms and conditions at www.ozwide.net.au.
Special promotions and competitions
When ozwide runs promotions and competitions the winners' names may be published
in one of our publications.
Links to third party sites
ozwide has no control over the privacy practices of third parties sites that
are linked to our site.
Our security measures and yours
ozwide takes security very seriously and we have in place appropriate systems
to reduce the likelihood of unauthorised access to any personal information
that we collect either directly from the customer or as a result of customer
use of the services.
You should not reveal your password to other people and
you should change it at least every month.
Extra options
For customers who are concerned about the content of the internet, for example
their children being exposed to sites that contain unsavoury content, we direct
customers to our filtering page which outlines the current Industry Codes of
Practice and contains information on software that will block access to sites
prohibited by the Australian Broadcasting Authority.
Consent to disclosure for specific purposes
We may provide personal information to law enforcement, government and regulatory
agencies and other organisations upon receipt of a correctly formatted request,
as required or authorised by law.

How to make a request for personal information under
the Privacy Act 1993
Just send us an email to policy@ozwide.net.au
or a written request specifying the information that you require and we will
advise you of the date that you will receive it and any costs that will be associated
with preparing the information.

and make a request following the instructions.
